Course Syllabus

In accordance with our University's Education and Training Regulation and MUDEK Accreditation Standards; the digital update of the information packages of the courses to be conducted in the 2025-2026 Spring Semester and the submission processes of the syllabi are specified below.

1

System Entry and Syllabus Preparation

Digital Process

The content, objectives, and measurement-evaluation information of the conducted courses must be updated as an ECTS Information Package via the UBS > Bologna Information System.

💻 Course Content Introduction:
Course contents must be introduced to students via the ECTS Information Package within the first three weeks, and the prepared Syllabus Form indicating that this introduction has been made must be signed.
2

Compliance with MUDEK Criteria

Critical Rules

While updating the ECTS Information Package via UBS, the following MUDEK 3.0 standards must be strictly followed:

  • Evidence-Based Measurement: Every declared "Learning Outcome (LO)" must be evaluated with an exam, homework, or project, and its evidence must be filed.
  • PO - LO Matrix: Only the outcomes that the course directly contributes to and measures should be marked. If there is no relation, the cells must be left completely blank.
  • Standard Weekly Plan: Week 8 should be recorded as "Midterm Exam" and Week 16 as "End of Semester Exams".
  • Use of Rubrics: For transparency in measurements such as homework, presentations, and laboratories, a Scoring Rubric must be used and specified in the syllabus.
3

Special Note for Design and Graduation Projects

Major Design Experience
🎯 As per MUDEK Criterion 5.5:
Pre-graduation design courses are at the center of the quality process. The following three aspects must be defined in the syllabi:
  • Complex Engineering Problem: It must be clearly stated that the project topic integrates multiple disciplines.
  • Realistic Constraints: It must be documented that constraints such as economy, environment, sustainability, ethics, and safety are taken into account in the design.
  • Performance Evaluation: A Rubric must be used by the juries to measure abstract outcomes such as teamwork and communication.
4
